Zamfara Governor Distributes 300 Vehicles, 2,000 Motorcycles

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has distributed 300 vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles to individuals and groups across the state as part of the government’s empowerment programme.

The distribution took place on Thursday, November 5, at the Trade Fair Complex in Gusau. The state government said the initiative was designed to recognise the contributions of individuals and organisations to the state’s development, while supporting productive activities and boosting the local economy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lawal described the exercise as another milestone in his administration’s rescue agenda, aimed at supporting people and groups contributing to Zamfara’s socio-economic and political development. He said empowerment should go beyond promises and involve providing individuals and grassroots organisations with practical resources to become self-reliant and improve their living conditions.

The governor urged the beneficiaries to make effective use of the vehicles and motorcycles, noting that the support was intended to improve mobility across the state and contribute to economic activities. Lawal also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic recovery and efforts to restore peace and stability in Zamfara State.
