Don Jazzy Partners With TS Academy To Offer Scholarship to Young People

Don Jazzy has partners with TS Academy to expand access to technology education and digital skills training for young people. The partnership aims to support young people interested in careers in software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data, product management, design and other technology-related fields.

As part of the initiative, the academy introduced the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027, which offers selected applicants up to 100 per cent tuition support, alongside discounts on application fees. The programme will also provide laptops and data support to a limited number of enrolled students to help address challenges associated with accessing technology education.

According to TS Academy, it has awarded scholarships to more than 50,000 students across Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and other African countries since its establishment. The academy also reported that more than 50,000 aspiring technology professionals participated in its programmes across 10 countries in the past year. Don Jazzy said young people should have access to different career opportunities, noting that technology offers another pathway for those seeking to build successful futures.

He encouraged interested young people to develop their abilities and explore opportunities beyond traditional career choices. The Chief Executive Officer of TS Academy, Adetola Durojaiye, explained that financial difficulties and lack of learning devices often prevent aspiring students from starting or completing technology training. He said the partnership would strengthen existing efforts to provide scholarships, learning devices, mentorship, practical projects, internships and career support.

TS Academy said it was working towards its long-term goal of empowering one million Africans with digital and technology skills. Applications for the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027 are currently open.
